What I Wore Wednesday

Rushing to get my post done as I was at a school council meeting last night and leaving early this morning as Monkey has a field trip. This week I didn't get too many pictures because I had a couple bad days at work and I was a single parent this weekend as Rock was at a retreat.  I have a new found respect for single parents. It's hard to do it on your own and I did have some help from my mom.

Now that I've been holding myself accountable here on a weekly basis and posting my pictures on facebook and twitter daily I seem to get more done. The ruffle scarf is finally finished a debuting here this week. it took me forever but it's finally done.

As with previous weeks I'm linking up with The Pleated Poppy , Mama Go Round and the Transatlantic Blonde.

 Wednesday - work

Thursday and Friday I have no pictures to share.Thursday I had a bad day at work and Friday was just crazy, I left work early and took the girls for the yearly check ups. I can't believe Monkey 7 years old is 48 lbs and 47.5 inches tall and in the 30-40 percentile. Muffin age 4 is 44 lbs and 43 inches and in the 80-90 percentile. They are almost the same but 3 years apart in age.  After that we went out to dinner at a diner and dropped Rock off at the Go train and started my weekend alone with the kids.

Saturday we attended a baby shower for a friend due in the next few weeks.  I chalked mine and the girls hair. You can see it better on Monkey's hair.

Creative Journey - A Daily Dose of Creativity Week 8

Now that I've been holding myself accountable here on a weekly basis and posting my pictures on facebook and twitter daily I seem to get more done.

I can't believe it's been 2 months since I  started this journey of creating on a daily basis.

This week I've spent most of the week working on my ruffle scarf. It is a project that is taking way longer than anticipated. It is looking cool but I did not expect to put so much time into it or yarn about to start the 4 ball of yarn.

Tuesday working on the ruffles.

Wednesday I finished the grey ruffle and started adding the yellow. Loving the yellow with the grey, worked on it well into the night.

Thursday the yellow ruffle is almost halfway done. It's looking awesome but getting very heavy.

Started on an art project , completed the background but forgot to take a picture of it.

Friday night the girls and I made t-shirts. Rock was away for the weekend so we did some crafts.  Muffin and I made the yellow one for her and Monkey worked on the white one with minimal
assistance.

After the girls went to bed I made a diaper cake for my friend's shower. Tutu was still up with me as he had a late and long nap.

And when Tutu finally went to bed I worked some more on the scarf.  I tried real hard to finish it but it wasn't happening.

Sunday was a busy day, I got to work on the scarf just a bit more but I didn't get a picture of it. We were visiting with Rock's grandparents and Aunt and Uncle.  I showed his Grandmother how to knit; she crochets and is awesome at it but never knitted. I showed her the basic stuff that I knew. I also made a yummy ham for dinner and tweaked with my recipe.  I find I rarely make things the same way twice, the basics are the same but the proportions are always a bit different depending on my mood.

I hope that everyone had a creative week and produced a lot of stuff. Hope the upcoming week is as creative.

What I Wore Wednesday

Because Monday was Family Day and we were home from work, Wednesday seems to have sneaked up on me.  It was a busy week as usual.

Now that I've been holding myself accountable here on a weekly basis and posting my pictures on facebook and twitter daily I seem to get more done. The last week I worked on a ruffle scarf for myself but had to put it aside to make some gifts. The ruffle scarf is taking forever and I think it might be too heavy to wear but maybe I can use it to decorate with.

As with previous weeks I'm linking up with The Pleated Poppy , Mama Go Round and the Transatlantic Blonde.

Wednesday - work and we had another funeral to attend.  This year is not starting off on a good foot when it comes to this.  I wanted to wear my skirt but when I pulled it out of the closet it was dirty so I tried wearing my capris with tights. Not sure if I like this look and if I should have tried it this day but maybe I will try again this week.

Friday I forgot to take a picture as I came home from work, grabbed the girls and ran to Fabricland to pick up material to make Monkey's dress for her first communion.   They were having a members sale so I got the material 40% off. This is the inspiration for the dress.

Saturday we went to a birthday party with the kids.

Sunday between brunch for my dad and spending a few hours in Urgent Care with Muffin I didn't get a picture taken.

Monday Family Day we went skating as a family. This time Rock didn't get any pictures of me skating but I took one when we got home.
